I think that one of my favourite rides in Disneyland is The Haunted Mansion.
You go inside the house, and you wait in a small foyer type room. You can see that it is very old and that it has not been cleaned in a very long time (because it is haunted, after all!)
You then are ushered into a small, eight sided room. This room stretches up towards the ceiling, and as it does so, the drawings on the wall have their evil themes revealed!
When finally the lights go out and the roof flashes with lightling and there is a corpse hanging there!
Inside the actual ride, you board little cars on a track that take you around the inside. There is a ton to see, and my favourite part has to be the scene where the ghosts are dancing and eating dinner and carrying on as if they were alive. If I truly believed in ghosts, this is how I would imagine them.
As most of the special effects were holograms and projections that moved, none of our pictures turned out very well. The option is that ghosts just don’t like to be photographed!
