Ok⦠letâs try this again, for the third time.
Weâre finally building our house! And because we are so excited, Iâve decided to take pictures once a week and scrapbook what has happened during the week. Lets get started.
This week, June 27 â July 3:
I got my last filling on June 30th. It was very painful and I hope that I donât ever get another one. I promise to brush and floss my teeth religiously from now on!
We went and visited Robâs Aunt Janice, Uncle Raymond, and Uncle Ed in Hudson Bay, Saskatchewan for the July Long Weekend. We had a fair amount of fun there, and it was nice to visit with family. We drove there with Robâs folks, which was an âadventureââ¦
We got notice from Rose and Egbert the other day (July 4, actually) that we had a hole! And footings! And we were all so excited! It was really nice of them to call us and let us know, so we went down to the job site and took some pictures. Rose and Egbert were out for a walk so we stopped and visited with them for a few minutes. Itâs going to be so great to live close to people that we already know. Rose and I are already planning block parties! Weâre very excited to finally see some physical work being done on our house. For those of you who donât know, footings are the platform that our basement walls sit on, and the platforms that the teleposts sit on. In the pictures below, the little squares inside are where the teleposts go. Eventually, the pads get covered by the basement floor (concrete). The window forms were also on site, but we didnât take any pictures of them. I wonder if that means that they are planning on pouring the basement walls this week? We will have to wait until Sunday afternoon to find out! Anyway, here are the pictures. The first is the whole basement foots, outside perimeter, and telepost pads. The second picture is a close up of the pads. The third picture of Rob in front of our basement, and the fourth is our âhouseâ and I. Enjoy!
